National Service Partner of Thuraya Satellite Company in Iran from 2005 to present

Asia Telecomm Company was registered in 2004 with registration No. 219109 and conclude a contract with Thuraya Satellite Company and became Thuraya National Service Partner (NSP) in Iran to achieve the first Global Mobile Personal Communications by Satellite (GMPCS) license in Iran from CRA (Communication Regulatory Authority) of Iran in 2005 also received importing, purchasing and selling radio equipment license No. 68-285 in 2016 from CRA. Asia Telecomm in June 2022 succeeded to upgrade GMPCS to SAP (Satellite Access Provider) license No. 100/17096 which covers more satellite services.

Asia Telecomm with the cooperation of its partners which are the leading companies in the satellite and radio communication industry in the Middle East and Europe, has provided the following services and solutions:

• Total solutions for Telemetry, SCADA, Tracking and Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT)
• Automatic Meter Reading (AMR)
• Fleet Management System (FMS)
• Automatic Identification System (AIS)
• Vessel Monitoring System (VMS)
• Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) in the air, marine and land areas

According to the signed contract between Asia Telecomm and Khoozeshtan Telecommunication Company in 2006, 300 villages were equipped to Thuraya satellite terminals and telephony communication was established for the first time in these villages. Asia Telecomm made contracts with other provinces in Iran and continued to equipped 200 more villages without communication infrastructures in the provinces Kerman, Isfahan, Markazi, Zanjan, Golestan, Bushehr and Kermanshah with Thuraya satellite terminals in 2007 and the people of these villages experienced their first telephony communication.

Asia Telecomm signed a letter of agreement with Iran Fisheries Organization in 2016 and equipped its offshore vessels to VMS. In the same year, we signed a contract with Thuraya to set up two satellite SMS centers inside of Iran and both of them are in used.

According to 18 years of experience in satellite communications and providing satellite services to our customers especially in crisis management, operational and rescue teams in the whole country, Asia Telecomm has created an integrated, unique and extensive network for crisis management on Thuraya inside of Iran which all the new customers can use it all across the country.
